Field obviously. I'm NOT saying that Braves won't win but with short series anything can happen. Bats go cold for a game and you are out easy. They lost last year just like that.

Atlanta is the team to beat, there's no question about that.
Having said that, the Dodgers are more than capable of winning the NL pennant too.

In the AL if the Braves were to rep the NL in the WS the Rays and their pitching can hang with Los Bravos in a seven game set.

I didn't think Wake Forest would lose the NCAA tourney, or the Bruins would lose in the first round either, but I don't see the Braves losing either.

They have a top three pitching staff and the top rated line up in all of MLB.
For the Braves to lose a five or seven game set three things must happen.
      1) Their pitching fails
      2) Their hitting fails

The last two super teams we've had were the 98-99 NYY and the 2001 Mariners.
Braves are as close to a super team I've seen since 2001.

Shit happens all the time though.
Like the Bruins in the first round.

Take Braves. Don’t see any NL team beating them in a series.

Field, but the Braves are the best team. MLB anything can happen.

The Braves are awesome, but there's no way they're chalk to win two series against strong teams.

Watching Spencer Strider mow down the Gigantes tonight colors my vote for the Bravos.
                This is an incredible team.
Can you imagine if they had retained Frederick Freeman?

Totally agree. This happens every year. A team looks unstoppable. Braves look unbeatable but it’s August and many teams gave up. Call me mid October if they are boat racing teams like they are now.

According to BR, the source I lean on say Atlanta has a 24% chance of winning the world series.

                    The book is offering +150.
                    +150 American odds implies 40 %

In reality the Braves have a one in four chance (24 %) and should be priced at +320, not +150.

You'd have to be a sucker to bet into +150.
                    That's just basic math.

                      Isn’t +150 for NL pennant?

Braves have a 40 percent chance to win the NL, then +150 is razor sharp and there is no edge there.

Very hard to predict what happens in playoffs 2 months ahead. Do we even know who will be the umpires doing the Braves games in playoffs? Most of the times they decide who wins.
