2 games about right. These guys are doing joint practices and live scrimmages as well to get the intensity up.

Owners won't do it because they don't care about the fans or the players. They would rather have a guy get injured instead of not making that extra pre-season game money. You have to wait for some of those WW2 dinosaurs to die before making this change.

Games shouldn't be canceled unless they misgender a tranny or refuse to take the jab.

The first two games they are used to see who makes the roster. The starters barely play. Most guys have one game to play a few snaps to see if they make the team or not. If they reduce the preseason it will be a coin flip on who makes the team.

Many owners make preseason game purchases mandatory in order to purchase regular season tickets.
