I know it's easy to say now but that's a foolish bet, even if he was tied for 1st after one round. The last amateur to win any tournament was Mickelson in 1991 and if it's ever been done in a major, it was before WWII when amateurs made more at their office job than pros made playing golf. I wouldn't have taken 1,000-1.

Probably but I'm lazy and just want the simple things in life
