Why does Jordan Lyles have a job?

Jordy made his tenth consecutive start last night.
He lost again.
0 and 8 now.

Jordy is on pace to obliterate every season record for ineptness.
0 and 8
ERA 7.11

And he's given up the most gopher balls in MLB
14 in 10 starts.

Yeah,
That kind of stinky.

What's mind boggling is Lyles has been pitching Major League ball for twelve seasons.
At what point does somebody tell Lyles that this pitching career isn't working out.

He's a 66-98 lifetime pitcher with a career ERA over five.

I'm a KC Royals fan, I see this hamburger pitch every fifth/sixth day.
It's painful.
