Judge is the only guy that would be in the lineup on some of the Yankee teams from 20-25 years ago. They used to have tough at bats and high OBP guys up and down the lineup. Guys like Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez and Paul O'Neil come to mind.
Who can stop the Yankees from winning the world series this year

#42At the moment it is.
Problem is the Yankees have curbed their spending for awhile and look at the current lineup they are trotting out there....embarrassing.
Yankee fans won't stand for it if this is the type of team they will be fielding and Steiner Jr is just happy socking away profits.Comment -

#43The Yankees fate had pretty much been sealed before that series, but the sweep is rubbing some serious salt into the wound. It'll be interesting to see how the NYY respond. We could easily see them going on a spending spree and buying their way into contention, or also go cheap and count the $Originally posted by HeadsterxSox with the sweep! Comment -

#48No because the playoffs haven't started. You are assuming that they will play the playoffs. I'm guessing you don't have any idea how sharp Cashman is. He has a plan to stop that.Originally posted by mjsuax13Any updates here? Did they win?Comment -

#50Fans still think it is the old days but the fact is that very few of these soft athletes nowadays want to play under the microscope in NY.
The fans still think they are going to get every major free agent to go there but very few if any do...this goes for all sports.Comment -

#51Spot on. They do not want accountability or even to be challenged. Coaches either. They all talk a bunch of shit but really they only care about getting paid. Coaches fail forward. Players get paid for losing. Just give me my money and with these TV deals they will get the money damn near anywhere.Originally posted by JAKEPEAVY21Fans still think it is the old days but the fact is that very few of these soft athletes nowadays want to play under the microscope in NY.
