I really think Real Madrid (as a club) takes a different vantage point on these games:

*La Liga: meh, it's just a league game. And only a few teams are capable of winning the league.

*Champ Lg: now you're talking, chance to be European champions. I truly believe their focus is stronger in Champ Lg games. And it's been that way for a LONG time.
