#120Seriously, I can't get over that last timeout call before the two FT's. Just, why? Why? There is no explanation. Had he made the first, he could have missed the 2nd and it's game over 75 foot shot.Comment -

#126After letting those kind of fouls go all game long they call that one to decide the game.
Was hoping SDSt. would win but that was total BS to give them the game that way.Comment -

#127That foul was BS. Ref determined that game. Should have been a no call and play on.Comment -

#128Uhhh, no, it wasn't. Very clear foul. Not debatable. Had they not called it they would have had a 100% legit complaint.Comment -

#131I agree with Spanarkel on this one. Memo to the CREIGH defender:
*Don't grab. Move your feet.

And the big guy might have traveled before the last pass with 6 seconds left. That was really close and they let it go as they should.Comment -

#133Go watch the Pistons-Bulls NBA games from the late 80s and early 90s. Tell me if you saw a foul called like that on San Diego St. Guys were hacking on Michael Jordan from 3 sides and they would not call a foul.Comment -

#134As much as SD St. fouls and hand checks all game long and maybe 2 out of 20 fouls are called on them then you call 1 on Creighton that decides the game is just stupid. If they guy hit his arm its one thing but a hand on the hip is not enough to throw the shot off that much. The shot was way short.

#135That San Diego State player fell to the ground... possibly intentionally? I think if the hand is on him... and he doesn't fall to the ground... no foul is called. Smart play to just fall to the ground.Comment -

And, notice how the ball came off flat with zero rotation. The reason for that was the shove before he could follow through on the shot. Watch again and see how his hand just stopped following through and actually recoiled. Totally unnatural. Had he not been pushed, he would have followed through on the shot.
People arguing otherwise are biased or blind.Last edited by d2bets; 03-26-23, 04:10 PM.Comment -

#137He pushed a shooter in the air. Show that in refs school without the situation and it's a unanimous foul 100% of the time. Period. Arguing that they missed some call some other time is not relevant. There are always missed calls, but that is not an argument to miss a separate one.Comment -

#138Yes its a foul. But as Coach Jay Wright just said they let that foul go on all game long and didnt call it. San Diego state fouls all game long and they get away with more than any team. Players and coaches want consistent calls and that was not a foul they way they reffed the entire game.
And something like hand checking is a completely different animal than fouling a shooter in the air. Those are two different things entirely.Comment -

#140Since when touching someone in basketball is a foul? If they call all these during the game half the players from each team will foul out. You either call them all or call none.Comment
