Lou Malnati's deep dish is excellent! Had Pequod's On Clybourne Lincoln Park Saturday and their deep dish crust is thick bread. Also, I get the caramelized edges that are burnt as their style but really Malnati's was much better. tasting pizza. Giordano's also good deep and thin crust pizza on Rush St.

Mr Beef on Orleans River north area is a destination for good Italian beefs. Elmwood park Johnie's Italian beef and Gene and Jude's mustard onion or Superdawg for Chicago Style dogs. Weiner's Circle on Clark St Chicago Dogs (closer to downtown)

Au Cheval for cheeseburgers. Multiple locations.
