SBR doesn't have to pay out with bet points now. It's a pure profit machine with the sponsors in place now. New owners are cleaning up. SBR is here to stay.

Simple business logic suggests this.

I assume offshore sponsors paid much more as there weren't tv commercial, billboards, or local word of mouth. it will never be the same. as far as bet points and the store, they should raise prices to devalue the points from prior or offer smaller gift. better something than nothing to give people incentive. having an active poker software would help alot also.

Good point with the off shore sponsors. I didn't consider that into the equation.

The guy who said this site is like it was 15 years ago is correct. This place was on life support when I joined. There was hardly any posting and very boring place to be.

Then after a couple years they intoduced the betpoints and the site took off.

Now they took away the betpoints and you guys think that magically everything will turn for the better?

It's over as far as growth. As long as they can pay the bills to keep the lights on they will let it be but once it becomes a liability and bills can't get paid the lights will turn off eventually.

But to even dream that this site will be what it was 5-8 years ago you need to start upping the dosage of your mushrooms.

I hate Twitter,I do Facebook only to keep up with family. Don't Do Instagram or tick tock.Im A man im 60 too old for Tick Tock.So Sbr is about the only forum or message board i do usually check once a week on Saturdays' i would miss SBR.i Sill like it here.For the most part people have been respectful i have always tried to keep it light and avoid controversial topics. That is why i leave a lot of tv and movie references!

It’s pretty much done at this point. I wish it wouldn’t be, but it is.

I hold no bitterness though as it gave me an opportunity to meet some good people. There will be guys I meet for poker/gambling trips for years to come. So I am grateful to be here during its hayday.

Somebody turn out the lights on their way out.
