#37I'm waiting on a spot to jump in live, so far I can't, good game so far.Originally posted by KVBShitty thing is I think Golden State went up 1-0 then 3-0 initially.
I hate leading early in these games, even down to scoring first.

I will be looking for some underdog Boston LIVE to sell back a portion of my position.
Not sure we see a good number though.Comment -

#38Lost their first home game against Indy as a big favorite, hope it's not the start of a trend.Originally posted by Nate rastaNot at home
They followed up with a loss on the road then are back home. If it was back to back home, there could be another capping metric issue, but that road loss interrupts it for me.
I think GS competes tonight.Comment -

#42The line is fair means for me at least that Boston should be favorite here but at the same time books are giving a bit of leeway for GSW.Originally posted by KVBWhich line was fair?
Was it the +1.5, +2, +2.5, +3, +3.5, +4?
Bettors in at all levels there. I'll assume you mean the closer but that's 2 or 2.5.
Not sure what you mean when you say that the line is fair but the Warriors have some value. Maybe you're cosnidering the potential for different viewpoints there.
I don't agree with that, I think the Warriors have some value and that the wrong team might even be favored.
But in my opinion it was the moneylines that were swayed in all that movement and that's where I believe we picked up the most "value" when it comes to the margins.
You might be right but there is no chance that Boston should not be favorite here. If the warriors were the favorite then books would be basically saying come and test us. They aren't in the business of taking stances unless they know for sure and they certainly don't in this one.Comment -

Problem is, I'm out of room to buy more. I will need to open another trade with another GS underdog ML. I am not looking to do that nor open a Bos position hoping they come back. I'm sure there will be back and forth to come, but trading this game is over for me.Comment -

#44I agree, making it a picke em even, I think I posted, would have gone too far, that's why we saw 1.5.Originally posted by lakerboyThe line is fair means for me at least that Boston should be favorite here but at the same time books are giving a bit of leeway for GSW.

I do disagree that the books aren't in the business of taking stances.
Taking positions is their business. It's a 3 way street between the oddsmaker, bookmaker, and bettors.
They don't seek to balance action (because that is impossible to actually do), so they seek to get enough action where they want it. Books take positions all the time, and it's not because they are forced to.Comment -

#45I agree that they aren't trying to balance action and they take positions all the time but it's only on a few games it's not like it's on ever game. MOST lines are fair and it's obvious once they open up. It sucks when one states at the board and CAN'T figure anything out because everything is dead on.Originally posted by KVBI agree, making it a picke em even, I think I posted, would have gone too far, that's why we saw 1.5.

#46Yes it sucks staring at the tight board and having nothing, we've all been there no matter what drives our decisions.Originally posted by lakerboyI agree that they aren't trying to balance action and they take positions all the time but it's only on a few games it's not like it's on ever game. But understand that even if a line is, by all accounts, "fair" that doesn't mean it is driving equal action.
Books take positions using "fair" lines more often than any other type.Comment -

#47I don't care how devastating Boston is right now... last year in the Finals... they literally stunk up the joint. I learned that both Tatum and Brown are 2 PU$$IES on that team. They HAVE NO IDEA what it takes to win a Championship. They can both support LGBT together and likewise do each other up their butts.Comment -

#57The feels like a loaded question, Boston seems exceptional overall.Originally posted by lakerboyHave they played a team like Boston at home?
They beat Denver, long ago, and beat Cleveland a month ago.
Tough to argue putting anyone else in the mix for LA opponents, and those two aren't all that great to pick from.
Not trying to pick apart recent performance or a weighted SOS, it's tough to equal Boston in a lot of general metrics. They have had a good overall season for sure.
Both Phoenix games have been on the road, same with Memphis.
The did beat Sac, but that was also more than a month ago and probably a different Sac team...lol
And clearly Sac is not Boston...
So I would say no, they haven't played anyone like Boston at home.Comment -

let's keep an eye on it.
Now lets see how committed the bettors are to Boston "bouncing back" in the next road game. That takes a lot more pressure to support a line than "bouncing back" in a consecutive game at home.Comment -
