#62What’s hilarious he’s lucky if three of those nine years are productive. A terrible mistake for the Yankees if they’re worried about winning.

#63I'm not going to name names, I don't want to spread rumors, I just had a 'chat' with one of Rosenthal's colleagues that I talk to, we 'chat' from time to time, like for instance, he's at the winter meetings every year, we'll talk about for a couple of minutes as to what's going on behind the scenes, are the deals going to be made, that sort of thing.Originally posted by pologqa big story misreported like this should be automatic suspension for the reporter
He's credible, I asked 'Rich' "What happened"
This is what I know.
What happened was Heyman 'thought' he had rock solid information that the deal was done, and ran with it.
The information he got, from what I know came from a SF source.
SF Giants have an offer to Judge's team.
I'm told the offer is for eight years, Judge wants ten.
Judge's team neither accepted nor rejected that offer, but apparently Judge's team is hard set on ten years and the Giants don't want it to go that long.
I'm now hearing a deal is done with the Yankees.
Stay tuned.Comment -

#66Bro, some of these local reporters and some of my good sources of fresh info were off here.Originally posted by TheLockJudge staying with Yankees
9 years/$360 million
Something strange about that, especially some of the people I talk to they are very conservative in the info they give.
I get this feeling something happened behind closed doors, I think judge may have been very close to being a giant. Seems like the new deal is done but the hush-hush about it was a little odd. Now we get an announcement today. From my end somethings a little funny with the deal and the news surrounding it.
Regardless, it’s done now and I hope this isn’t indicative of these information sources going forwardComment -

#70As with any businsess and information tracking, whenver there seems to be an error in my office we seek to get to the bottom of it.
I may learn something, but not be able to post it here as even these reporters won't name sources.
We could be looking at a situaion here where Judge's team intentionally leaked bullshit about signing with other teams (SF and less so SD) to pressure the Yankees to sweeten the deal. After all, judge had already been rejecting Yankee offers, since the spring.
Hmmm. Sadly the truth wil not make it to these pages without an inside whistleblower, which is not me.Comment
