had to be huge odds for australia to advance out of group play, especially dropping the first game, also japan winning group with spain and germany had to be massive odds

Europe, Brazil, & Argentina...until another nation proves otherwise.

Historically only 1 other nation has ever reached a final, and that was Uruguay in 1930.

When we were in Oceania we won every conference game easily, but the route to make the WC finals was near impossible. Being in Asia has really helped both quality as well as the qualification route.

Although this year we stuffed up and had to survive two extra playoff games.

I'm very much pro USA in everything but once USA is eliminated or not in something I always root for the Aussies. Hoping they shock the world today. Great people great country great competitors always. If I couldn't live in the USA I would choose Australia as my country. I know a lot of Americans that feel the same way too.
