Michigan vs Ohio State Discussion

#2 vs #3 face off in Columbus on Saturday for the Big 10 East title. The lookahead line was Ohio St -6.5/7 then re-opened at -8.5 after Michigan barely squeaked by Illinois. Currently sitting at -7.5 with an O/U of 56.5.

Things to note:

- Mich star RB Blake Corum (1457 yds) injured last week and listed as questionable
- OSU top 2 running backs Williams & Henderson also questionable
- OSU #17 pass offense & #20 rush offense / Mich #5 pass defense & #2 rush defense
- Mich #100 pass offense & #4 rush offense / OSU #11 pass defense & #15 rush defense
- Last 8 meetings have gone over the closing total
- Mich snapped 8 game losing streak with win at home last year

The only notable mismatch is OSU pass defense vs Mich pass offense. So if Corum is out/limited and/or the Wolverines get down early and are forced to throw the ball, they may be in trouble.

With the spread above 7, my initial lean is to Ohio St double result (win 1st half + game) at -125. What are you guys thinking here?

Line of scrimmage is where the game will be won. Can the Buckeyes load the box at times and hope man coverage holds up on the back end? How does Michigan play us if we are down 2 RB's? If OSU's O-line can protect, it will be a long day for Michigan. We have a group of real good LBers in Ohio. This is their game to make some notoriety for themselves. I don't see either team running with much success early. It will take the passing game to open up the defenses. Not touching this with a 10 foot pole! I'm a 100% fan for this one! Let's Go Buckeyes!

I think Osu makes mccarthy do it all in order to beat them. in addition, without a 100% corum? that is a tall hill. is schoonmaker going to suit up? that would be another problem for MI if he can't go
Osu is only 5-5-1 Ats this year, but are 4-2-1 at home. right now i say Osu covers the #. too many key injuries and buckeyes have the better qb

With the weather (50's) a non issue I would expect Ohio State to score in the 30's. Watching McCarthy throw last week against Illinois was painful. Michigan's only chance is if Corum/Edwards are somewhat healthy and they can control the game on the ground.
Michigan hasnt won in CBus since 2000.
History almost always favors the home team in top 15 matchups. I think it is 11-1 this year.
I would lay the points if I had to play a side.
