There was a high school playoff game in northern Wisconsin a few years back - it was snowing so hard all day they had no chance to clear the field. Had to be 8-10 inches deep on the field, just played in those conditions like a backyard game. Fun to watch!

NFL officially is moving the Browns-Bills game out of Buffalo and to Ford Field in Detroit, where it will be played Sunday at 1 pm.

Bills will play two straight games in Detroit: against the Browns, then on Thanksgiving vs. the Lions. guess i will start Josh Allen now on my fantasy team. Team PBR in first place. Wasn't going to start him due to weather. Take care all.

The reason it is moved is NOT because of the snow. It is the most likely power outages from 35-50 mph winds that would cause issues for the stadium, technology and fans.

Judging from the 2:55 pm timestamp on this email, it looks like students at Oakland University in Detroit had this scoop about an hour before it broke nationally. (The headline in the email is wrong, though, about the game.) Wonder if any students were able to bet the total before it moved from 41 to 48!

Why did they move to Detroit? A better place would have been Cleveland. Who is going to fly from Buffalo and Cleveland to watch the game? At least if it was in Cleveland the Browns fans will fill the empty seats.

I think it's just because the NFL didn't want to turn a home game for the Bills into essentially a home game for the Browns. But, I understand what you're saying. I can't imagine there will be many fans in the stands in Detroit. Maybe the NFL will drop ticket prices really low to encourage attendance from local football fans in Detroit.

A lot of people will make the three hour drive from Cleveland to Detroit. Heck, toledo is only 45 min.

Buffalo plays on thanksgiving day in Detroit also, so it makes logistical sense. They are going to stay all week.
