Yep. I had the Eagles -1 to close out a teaser. I haven't been pissed in a while gambling, but last night I was ready to break something. Just about everything that could go wrong for the Eagles did. I keep telling myself to stay away from the NFL. The officials have too much of an impact.

This was one of the worst games Ive ever seen. I didnt bet philly so that's not why (tho they killed my survivor and i needed 15 more yards from hurts)

The nfl is becoming a joke. That last play with heinrich was what's wrong with the game today. The defender wasn't even trying to hit him. Certainly not "roughing".

There's a reason why 75 out of the top 100 TV broadcasts last year were NFL games.
That 75 percent number is not a guess, it's a stone cold Nielsen fact.

Scripted crime dramas like CSI, and Law and Order, and the Dick Wolf Chicago Med, FD, and PD are up 22 percent, and that other scripted drama, the NFL, their ratings are up as well.

Not disputing these numbers but overall traditional TV viewership is down due to all the (commercial free) streaming channels available.
Many people, myself included, only watch terrestrial TV occasionally.

There was a big piece in one of the trades recently on how scripted dramas have replaced 'reality' programming as most watched and all.

It was very well written, all about how reality programming has very low overhead, making it cheaper to produce, but what happened was every networks was saturated with those type shows, most of them crap. that viewers were tuning out, and how scripted dramas have become solid again, but it's costly.

For instance the aforementioned Dick Wolf productions have a very good fan base, people watch, but parent company Universal told NBC to reduce some acting salary.

Slippery slope.

Philly did get ripped but this does not shock me. I have had so many losses because of moronic pos refs it boggles the mind. They call non existent penalties galore and ignore the obvious ones. I cannot tell you how many TDs were called back because of stupid non existent calls.

That was such a BS call on that last roughing the passer call to end the game. I hate when refs determine the game when it's not really that obvious. He wasn't trying to take his head off.

Yea i agree it absolutely was. I actually could have went to the game but turned it down because i had to get up early to go into office today. Am kind of glad i did not have to be there to witness that .

But honestly the past year i have endured a zillion horrible terrible insanely bad calls . I don't know what it is but i have not seen it this bad as in this past 2 seasons since we had the replacement refs back in 2012 or whatever it was.

But yea that last call was BS and i hate when refs determine the game with a call like that too. But then again and you know this on my losses a bunch were lost specifically because of the refs several at the end just like this one. I have also never had as many Overs lose to TDs called back because of a penalty in my entire life as in this past 2 seasons. Almost every loss has had at least 1 called back some 2 one even had 3 called back. Its surreal.
