I don't know if this had anything to do with benching Ryan for the rest of the year due to injury? But what do you expect Reich to do with basically a rookie QB vs Belichick? I mean... if this was a way to just get Reich OUT... congratulations... but it's a questionable decision.

Frank Reich is a good head coach, man. Everyone always gets a piece, but it's very tough to look at this roster over the last few years and blame anyone more than Chris Ballard. The Colts believed they could out-draft and out-develop the NFL year after year. It's just too hard.Comment -

Funny part is that they can still win the Division.
Irsay forcing his hand on the QB change is bad practice. He's the owner, so he can do whatever he wants. I think they win the game vs WASH if Ryan is QB.
Now you have a young QB...and all the veterans in the locker room know he's the 3rd-best option. The TIE (vs Hou) actually helps them re: playoff hopes this year. he's the loser calling the most predictable plays and the worst 4th down play caller of all time
the offense quit playing for him... he was DONE and HAD to go
same stupid speech after every horrible loss ... blown lead ... etc and nothing changed
they got shutout vs Jags and he said "we aren't that far off from where we want to be"
this was year 5 ... he was emotionless on the sidelines
if Jeff can do 1 thing he can improve that offensive line and that will lead to better play for the rest of the season at worst... and maybe Jeff stays as offensive line coach if they hire someone else
they just said in a live press conference that they tried to hire Jeff as offensive line coach in 2019.Comment -

during the chiefs game the first 4th and 1 he encountered and went for it.... vs a chiefs defense known to bring pressure on just about every 3rd down... so what do you think KC is going to do on 4th and 1?
all out blitz so a guy comes in untouched... the play? Ryan in shotgun taking the snap and doing a mini fake to Taylor for NO reason at all... the all out blitz left P.Campbell uncovered and wide open but because Ryan executed the mini fake to his LEFT and the pressure was coming in hot from the right... Ryan saw Paris wide open but had no time to throw the ball and got hit and fumbled. i was yelling from my seat as they came out in shotgun on 4th and 1... "here's frank with another genius 4th down play call people... watch and behold"
they won vs KC because C Jones gave them an extra set of downs late in the game
won vs Den because Wilson missed Hamler wide open on a great play call that killed the man coverage the Colts were in
and won late when Ryan just barely got his deep pass off to Pierce before getting blasted
if KC plays just a litter better on offense or Jones isn't flagged late in the game and Wilson isn't blind the Colts would be 1-7-1 right now
