Is this just PA or every state that blocks "competing" books at the casino?

Every place I have been to in Pennsylvania and Mountaineer in West Virginia does this I'm pretty sure. For instance, the Live casino in Greensburg (east of Pittsburgh) is considered a "restricted area" for using DraftKings because they have a Fanduel sportsbook in their casino. Mountaineer has Caesar's and you can't use MGM there, at least you couldn't last time I was there.

I figured this was probably rinky dink stuff. In vegas in the summer I was at a casino and played a poker tournament on wsop.com while I was in a live tournament. When I was in DC, you couldn't use the books on federal land.

Besides the location crap that always has to reset the sites are slow and unresponsive sometimes too except for Fanduel. DK crashes on me as well. Gets very annoying. Offshore books work a lot smoother on the phone overall.

It is a Pennsylvania gaming regulation that no online gaming can take place in an actual casino. It’s been like that way for years. I’m not sure the reasoning behind it but that’s what it is. So when you walk within about 50 feet of the entrance your app will not work. The location detector has gotten quite good in the past year. Usually if you just walk out to the parking lot the apps will work.
