In business debt isn't necessarily bad as a lot of it has to do with the cost of money balanced with your own liquidity.

Microsoft had 100's of millions in cash and still carried debt.

Went on a losing streak a few years ago and decided to borrow against the kids's stock and college positions and put all that money right back into the sports markets. Made my wife a bit nervous there, lol.

Not only did I pay the money back, but I added to the positions significantly.

Don't be afraid of debt, just use efficiently.

Again, the usefuleness of debt is proportional to your liquidity and inversely proportional to the cost of the money.

i have been in credit card debt due to gambling. not proud of it. that was about 10 years ago or so. bad time. i had to declare bankruptcy because it was just too much with the interest and late fees to catch up. came back very strong and continuing that way.
