A 6-0 start doesn’t guarantee a playoff berth, but it gets a little closer to locking in a team. Dating back to playoff expansion in 1990, 41 teams have started the season with six straight wins. Of those 41, only the 2009 Denver Broncos and 2003 Minnesota Vikings failed to make the playoffs. The Broncos finished the season with an 8-8 record while the Vikings finished 9-7.


Of the 39 teams to make the playoffs, 27 won at least one playoff game. Notably, the last three of the last four teams to start 6-0 (2021 Cardinals, 2020 Steelers, 2019 Patriots) all failed to win a playoff game, and also failed to claim a first round bye.

as long as they stay somewhat healthy, they are going to be the top seed. no one in the nfc is strong enough, or should be strong enough by then to be anything less than a 4-5 point dog at best. maybe the cowboys, if they catch fire. the bucs and packers are barely above average at this point. the vikings would get bitchslapped again. who is coming in to beat them.. the rams? niners? the end result to me is a trip to the superbowl as 5-7 point dogs to probably the chiefs or bills. together, they are clearly the top 3 teams in the league based on overall talent and experience IMO.

fair enough. i like hurts, but i'm not a huge fan. he does a great job taking care of the ball and not forcing things. his accuracy has also improved greatly. it's certainly possible he can fold under the pressure if the eagles get punched in the mouth though and fall behind early to a team (a real team, not the jags.) i just think it will be extremely tough for a team to come into the cold weather and beat that defense if they get the top seed.

Giants could be a better team. They got Bills offensive coordinator and Ravens defensive coordinator of last season. Both Eagles and Giants should lose in the playoffs losing to Packers and Bucs.

Yes but he was a drop back white QB….odds are stacked against a running black QB winning anything….it just is what it is. They do have a great team but this is a HUGH factor
