yeah. people definitely get lost in situational awareness. if it's a game 1 rematch of fried vs suarez, the phils have the slight edge IMO. during the regular season fried had a 3.13 era/.258 avg in 23 innings against the phils. suarez was 3.21/.223 in 28 innings against the braves. but that damage came against suarez earlier in the year. since july he has been great, and the braves have only managed 2 runs in their last 20.1 innings against him (4 starts, including postseason. phils went 3-1.)

You’re a great capper so I mean no disrespect, but I’m telling you if the Phillies lose today they won’t win game 5. Just watch. Max will be much better if he sees them again.


But it doesn’t matter, it’s all opinion I assume. Won’t matter if Morton doesn’t pitch better against the Phils than he has in some starts. Noah is trash, hopefully the Braves get to him early and cause Philly to get in their pen. Braves have a much better pen so I hope the pen plays a big role in the final two games

Philly has the 8th worst pen in baseball while the Braves have the 4th best. We shall see though, Philly is hot at the right time and that break between regular season and post season definitely impacted the Braves

syndergaard is far from trash. he produced a sub 4 era this season. he can certainly get hit this game, and might even get lit up.. but i'd definitely take him over morton.. who is rocking a 5.72 era on the road and 5.47 against the phils. they are both BOR pitchers. nothing wrong with that. but obviously if it's a close game, we're not going to see the shit part of the phils pen. nothing but the best from both sides.

Noah’s advanced numbers show he’s closer to a 4.50 ERA pitcher this season whereas Morton’s advanced numbers (xFIP) shows he’s closer to a 3.60 ERA.

Noah against an explosive ATL offense could be problematic for PHI. PHI definitely seems to have all the momentum, though.
