Been kicking that idea around with a buddy who runs a data co-location company. I’ll wait to see how sbr plays out, but 20k in one big contest a year is peanuts to what you could get if advertised effectively. My guess is that they underestimated the amount of points out there, or at least the amount of big points posters who were willing to stick it out a year for gift cards, so are trying to stall further. Either way, It’ll be 9 years for me here shortly, maybe they’ll surprise me. Cheers

I'd be stunned if this were the case. I imagine betpoint totals are stored in some sort of database table, and a simple lookup would tell you the total amount of points in circulation. You could then further sub-categorise that to say users that have logged in within the last 6 months, 12 months, 24 months etc to get a clearer indication on likelihood of a user being active and redeeming.

As I say, I'd be stunned if this basic due dilligence wasn't carried out prior to re-opening the store.
