Should be a great game. Dortmund were hanging on at the end in the first meeting. I think Chelsea wins but then it goes to Extra Time. This is a good example of away goals rule change effecting the outcome. Old rules and Dortmund score today and they are laughing. Now different of course. I lean Chelsea.

Chelsea are without Mason Mount in addition to the long list of injuries

Dont always buy into The English hype. German football is alive and well

The game against 17th place Leeds continued to expose all that is wrong with Chelsea. It was a narrow 1 - 0 win that saw Chelsea manage all of 3 shots on target. Today they face a side that is tied for 1st in Germany and has a much better defense then Leeds. Im not saying that Chelsea is unable to rise to the occasion today , but i certainly wouldnt back them at such an inflated price. Only 2 wins in their past 10 games, and 1 - 0 wins over Leeds and Crystal Palace doesnt say much to me. Just my 2 cents

Exactly. Benfica should be able to slice and dice Cl Brugge today. Far superior midfield. If anything , its Benfica -1.5 @ + money for me

The line is a bit of a red flag given that the teams seem to be going in opposite directions but I'm going to keep betting Dortmund until they do me wrong.

A few changes of note :

Kovacic ( solid midfielder ) is in the central midfielder position , with limited playing time since the break. On both midfield flanks are Chillwell and James , who are out of their natural fullback positions. Also starting in place of Azpilicueta on the back line is Cucuretta , who has been a healthy scratch for a few games. The talent of Chelsea is there , i just feel that this starting 11 have had very little time playing together , or within a system , to beat an in form side like Dortmund. They play the game for a reason , just my 2 cents
