27 mph seems slow when driving

[JIBBBY]

^ Well for comparing car speed could you imagine a big cat running 70mph on the freeway right next you in the fast lane? That would be a trip!

every time I watched cheetahs on tv growing up running they never looked as fast as they say they are to me. guess their long stride makes them not look that fast to me or maybe those top speeds are for a very short time and they can't sustain them but for a very short time, but usain bolt didnt look that fast to me either seemed he wasnt trying as hard as he could maybe its just me

You hit 15mph when running with the horses JJ back in the day, damn shame you got tripped up as there is no telling what your top speed would have been?.

[JIBBBY]

Now it's 5.6

You don't have to be the fastest runner. You just have to make sure you're not the slowest.....

Jibbby- Is that running to have sex or running away?
Depends on the woman.

[JIBBBY]

Greyhounds are awesome animals. Fast as hell.

They are fast but they can't catch a true prize race horse.. 10 mph slower and that's with a jockey on top of them.

A regular fast horse it's close though! Grey hounds are way faster out of the blocks.

Thoroughbred race horses are amazing. No doubt about it. Bastards have personality and are competitive as hell too.

Dogs and horses know their purpose when trained up as such to only run and race.

I've seen documentaries on Alaska sled dogs, they don't want to be petted and loved, they just want to work and mush once out of their kennels. Same with hound dogs and other specific breeds with their specialized talents. Dogs are a trip.

Fastest 2 legged animal in the world will challenge a race horse and beat a grey hound..

Ostriches are superb runners that can sprint at speeds of up to 60 mph (97 km/h) on average, with a peak 60 mph (96.6 km/h) during short periods, with 12-foot (3.7 m) strides. This also makes the ostrich the fastest animal on two legs.

Not so fast with humans on them though. This dude filming in the vid bet on #2 and was winning the race until his jockey fell off.. Bum luck ..

Fastest fish in the ocean can go 68 mph! That can hang with a damn speed boat!

Pacific Sailfish

Most sources believe that the fastest species of fish is the Indo-Pacific Sailfish, Istiophorus platypterus. According to Johnson and Gill (see below) the species has been clocked in excess of 110 km/h (68 mph) over short periods.

Since 1968, the world record holders in the men's 100-meter dash have been black athletes. And since 1912, when the International Association of Athletics Federations started keeping track of the record holders in that event, only 10 non-black athletes out of 38 individuals have held the title.
