Four years ago Maryland hired coach Locksley to get this program going. So far he has gone: 3-9, 2-4 and 7-6. So the improvement under Locksley has been minimal but the talent level has sky-rocked . In year two he got Bama QB Taulia Tagovailia ( the guys call him Lia ) and last year MD had the #4 recruiting class in the Big10 !! and 18th nationally. This team is a tight knit,cohesive unit,everyone supports each other.These guys are building a Championship caliber program. In Lia's first full season he set school records for yards passing 3,860 and completion % at 69.2 . The most improved unit on the team is the " O " line,where all 5 starters return.The wide receiver group is in the top 5 Nationally !!! The running backs are good. You put this all together and wow...a high octane offense with quick strike ability...So with all this talent why did Vegas set the Terps win total at 6 ?...it's because they have to play : Ohio ST,Mich. , Mich St,Penn St and Wiscy...they played these teams last season but from the West Div. the played # 5 Iowa(at that time) instead of Wiscy.And with this hard schedule last season the Terps finished 4th in BIG10 in total offense !!! Just think what this team will do vs Buffalo ! It was a very,very big deal that MD went to a Bowl game last season...no,no it's not like "we going to Sizzler,we going to Sizzler ". The big deal was that this team had 15 extra practices together,to carry over for next seasons work. I would not be surprised to see Maryland to win by 40 points. One last piece here...what is wrong with this picture ??? Coach Locksley wins 12 games in 3 years and gets a 5 year extension on his contract !!! Last season there were 10 teams that had 12+ wins.
