i love the head coach and utah program..

but i am always skeptical of mid-to-upper level teams that "this is finally going to be the year they put it all together"

i find there's often alot of disappointment........

if i were to implement a system, i would FADE a pre-season top 15 team with a much lower average pre-season ranking (maybe have to use power ratings if they didn't get points in a preseason poll) in the last 5 years.

utah would still fit the system... but they are not as much of an upstart nor dependent on a key player (like a dominant QB or TB) that i would optimally like to see.

off the top of my head, teams like missouri or michigan state come to mind.

i would add in terms of contrasting factors that i do not like to bet against mega-outperforming HCs like Utah's (willingham sp?)

like yesterdays game, big contrasting factors of 1) nebraska getting much better and NW much worse, 2) Fitzgerald has been huge overachieving HC at NW. just a rough spot last year. or maybe with the easier transfer portal NW will have problems every year. i.e. maybe Fitz has peaked...
