I bet live tennis a lot, admittedly sometimes without knowing much about the players. I took a shot last night on canadian cadence brace +500 live while up 3-0 in the 1st set against #3 claire liu (usa) in womens challenger Vancouver. I said hey, +500 up 3-0..why the hell not. 1st, its women..crazy stuff happens all the time in women's. 2nd, shes canadian..so she might be playing with a little more pride.
Shortly after I bet it she broke liu again to go up 4-0 and then held for 5-0 before ultimately winning the 1st set 6-3. I decided to look up some stats, rankings, bios and the prematch odds..well according to my app which I believe uses bet365 odds...liu was -10000 and the 17 year old brace was +2200..
She broke liu early in the 2nd and never looked back, winning 6-3 6-3. Liu did have a brace on so maybe she was hurt but felt like she could still win easily.
Either way it was a nice win for me at +500 which was probably terrible odds only after 3 games but I'll take the win.
Gotta be one of the biggest upsets ever. Somewhere doug tushyterror is probably tearing up a 17 team monster tennis chalk parlay.
