Well she must know something we don't, if the feds are bringing charges against you, especially if you are famous, they got you. Especially if it is the IRS agents. They wouldn't bring charges, when they know it will be all over the news, if they didn't have you buried.

I'm not an attorney, don't even pretend to be, I just read some of the details regarding this story out of curiosity.
To me there seems to be a lot grey area, and wiggle room.

With a good attorney she should walk away from this, but it'll be costly, but I see no jail time here.

Spanish treasury is much more aggressive than the irs in the USA or many other countries. I think their prosecutorial record for all of these tax evasion cases is like 50% which is pretty low I think.

I think they are claiming since she lived there for awhile with her boyfriend Pique that she owes them taxes on her global income or something.

One big problem with the IRS is they are understaffed now, and a percentage of them aren't really 100 percent qualified to do the job.
