I don't know if it's improved at all over the years but the Southpoint buffet was one of the worst when I lived out there.

Still is. I went to it in June. Good price but very subpar food.

Only go for the carving station and Mongo grill.............everything else is, like you stated, subpar.

If you get real lucky about 50% of the time the carving station has excellent meats and excellent prime rib...........the other times its still somewhat decent

100% true. Wife and I tried mostly everything and highlight was the Mongo grill. Prime rib was so-so. However they do offer to throw it on the grill if it's too rare for you. Overall, buffet is ok.

If one doesnt' have to wait in line more than 6 min.............it's good for the carving station and mongo grill .............and perhaps one/two side dishes, lololol, no more.

Most times one can find a couple/three varieties of beer there that beats LIQUOR WORLD'S prices.

Also, one can use their pts in the gift shop, and some months that gives you an additional 50% OFF!!!!!!
