wasted career... hopefully ohtani leave Angels asap. It's a loser organization, never could put together a winning team, outside of that 2002 season, it's been total disaster.

#37And Matt Harvey's too.Originally posted by big joe 1212This is how David Wrights career started to end
Matt's a local boy here in Connecticut, he had all of us convinced, fans, friends, even some doctors that he beat back all of the personal demons he had going on, the drinking, pills, everything.
Turns out he didn't, and we know how that movie ended.

Shame, Harvey was one of the best HS pitcher I ever saw.
I've seen some good ones, Charlie Morton used to pitch for Redding (Ct) HS here, he was a great one as a teen too.Comment

A lot of the credit for that 2002 championship goes to Scioscia, at the end of 2001 he (and he front office people) got rid of some of the hitting, and added starting pitches.
Aaron Sele came over from Seattle, traded for Kevin Appier from the Mets, and cut that hamburger Pat Rapp.
John Lackey and Washburn were home grown talent.
The rotation in 2002 had three fourteen or more game winner starters, and an all world closer in Percival.

You have to feel bad for Wally Joiner, he retired the year before.
Wally World could rake with the best of them.
Hit over 200 HR's and had a sixteen season average of .290Comment

#40Ohtani's value is the highest right now because the new team would have him for 2 post-seasons before he becomes a free agent. If they wait until after this season to trade him, they won't get as much as they could now. Angels, once again, are showing how retarded they are.Comment

#42i am sure a contender was offering a good haul for ohtani and it would have made sense for the trade but moreno balked. he only knows to move forward with bad contracts.Originally posted by VeggieDogOhtani's value is the highest right now because the new team would have him for 2 post-seasons before he becomes a free agent.
