Going to a Brewers game later this coming week and was wondering if there are some cool bars near the stadium. Thanks
Anyone from Milwaukee here?

#3More bars and churches in MKE than any where in the world. It's a great stadium but I can't help with a bar or church. BOL Bgambler. MKE Mike might chime in.Originally posted by BostongamblerGot a few from google but wanted to hear first hand.Comment -

#5Not RIGHT by the Stadium. Stadium was built next to the freeway.
One-mile walk gets you to the casino. A few miles north, you get to the Tosa bars. Two miles south gets you to the Downtown MILW bars, very close to the basketball arena.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#8Polo, it's not bad:Originally posted by pologqhow is that casino?
1) Nice poker room. Played in a couple tournaments there. And played in the cash-games for a good bit of time.
2) Nice restaurant just across from the casino. And food market about 100 yards away. Free refreshment-center downstairs.
My one word of caution is that MILWAUKEE safety is going DOWNHILL fast. They swapped out the Police Chief for less stringent crackdown on crime. Auto theft in Milwaukee going thru the roof.
My two pizza recommendations:
1) Balistreri's Bluemound Inn. Only ate there once, but some people love it.
2) Calderone Club - Downtown Milwaukee. If you eat the Thin Crust pizza there and don't like it...I'll personally give you your money back.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#9Head about 5-10 minutes east of Am Fam and you'll be downtown - Walkers Point, Water Street, and Brady Street all solid places for nightlife. And if you'll be here July 7-9 check out Summerfest - Those are the final 3 days. It's the world's largest music festival, about a dozen stages with a wide variety of live music - That's your best bet this time of year, it's awesome! Right on Lake Michigan about 10 minutes east of Am Fam. Chucky is right about the criminal element but the Fest is safe - I also concur on the Calderone pizza! Enjoy!Comment -

#12Not familiar w/ NYC. But I know the Milw crime results have been putrid. In Last 18 months:
1) Guy drove over the people in Waukesha parade. Driver would have already been imprisoned, if not for crackdown being lightened.
2) Shootings at the NBA game. Black eye on the city.
3) Auto theft rate in 2021: Milwaukee County was #1.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#16Once a month I goOriginally posted by BostongamblerNasher have you been to the sportsbook at Foxwoods?
There's a guaranteed 25,000 dollar poker tournament I love to play.
Third Wednesday every month, I prefer Mohegan Sun, nothing at all wrong with Foxwoods poker room.
Both casinos are top notch brick and mortars.Comment
