#2The Browns were expecting something like this to happen. That's why the first year of his contract is only paying him $1,035,000. He'll still get the majority of his money starting in Year 2. This will be the one year Jacoby Brissett era for the Browns in 2022.Comment -

#3A full-season suspension would pause Deshaun Watson's contract for a year, putting him under contract to the Browns through 2027, not 2026. It also would replace his $46M salary in 2023 with his 2022 salary of $1.035M.https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ack-by-a-year/Originally posted by Mr KLCThe Browns were expecting something like this to happen. #6If they hadn't done everything in their power to piss Mayfield off, the Browns could go ahead and let him play out his contract, in a sign of goodwill, that could potentially increase his worth in free agency. Instead they are getting offered pennies on the dollar for him, and could very well be cutting him instead.Comment -

#7I'm cheering for Mayfield whereever he lands. Is he the best qb in the world? No, but i think hes more than capable of being a good qb for a decent team and he got railroaded bad in Cleveland. The guy has heart and passion and wants to win. I see 75% of the league on Sundays not show that kind of effort every SundayOriginally posted by Mr KLCIf they hadn't done everything in their power to piss Mayfield off, the Browns could go ahead and let him play out his contract, in a sign of goodwill, that could potentially increase his worth in free agency. #21Lol the WSJ and PFT? He probably gets 10 games. Ray Rice knocked his girl out cold and the footage was all over the country what he get? 4 games? Kareem Hunt kicked the f*** out of a girl on the ground and got 8. I doubt Watson gets more than 12.Comment -

Rice and Hunt would have gotten a lot more today, but we'll see.Comment -
