RIP, Big-man. A few notes:

1) Guy was undrafted after an injury during his final year at Pitt. So, he deserves credit for making the league and having staying power.
2) Was part of the trend-setting Raven defense. The big "scheme" they used was implementing two Jumbo Def Tackles, Siragusa and Sam Adams ("The Keg"). Ray Lewis played behind Siragusa and Adams. The two defensive tackles effectively occupied THREE offensive linemen, the center and two guards. The blocking angles changed, and Ray Lewis had freedom to roam without opposing linemen having a clear shot at him. Had to figure out how to counter this, or the Ravens had an edge on you.
3) I don't THINK Siragusa ever made great efforts to shed the weight after his playing days. Compare that to a lineman like Matt Birk, who dropped 80 lbs and competed in triathlons. Bottom line, carrying excessive weight is a significant health risk.
