I haven't followed hockey all year... will someone please tell me why the scoring is so damn high? They made the nets wider??? Rules on smaller goalie equipment now?? WTF is going on?

You used to see 4.5 o/u all the time in the playoffs.

Shot, I'm with you. The goalies used to be stone walls. Roy, Brodeur, Belfour.

So much more wider open now. I think it has something to do with the way they call penalties now. I'm not sure the vicious hitters like Scott Stevens could play in the league today (w/o getting suspended).

Detroit and Colorado were high powered offenses back in the late 90's. Playoff games were 5 and under. Maybe one game had 6 goals...

All these other teams shouldn't have the offensive weapons.... everyone thinks their Mario Lemieux now... it's ridiculous. I want an old fashion playoff game. Regular season was always higher scoring than the playoffs. Refs.... put the damn whistle away.

I hear you Chucky.... everyone thinks they are a "true" 50 goal scorer now lol They'd be lucky to hit 20 goals in the old style hockey.

These teams wont score like this agsinst TB. Besides having an elite goalie their players even the stars sacrifice their bodies to block shots. I think Stamkos alone had 4 blocks in the 3rd period last game. They help Vasi in limited direct shots.
