Joker deserves to lose, biggest game of the match and can't defend serve with multiple set points

Tie break. Monstrous match here but i don't think Joker has enough in the tank to win another set even if he wins tie break.

if you bet against Nadal at the french when he was the underdog you're pretty brutal for the day...

Nadal is not losing in Paris. I told people he is there to win it and everyone laughed. Now go eat you ramen that you went all in on Joker.

17y after his first slam win ever and on the pulverized brick, he's in the semifinals. With the style of game he plays so physical and so brutal this is Absolutely remarkable.

Nadal is unbelievable. That said, Djokovic had mental issues today and couldn't capitalise on many open points, made many unforced errors etc. His usual self would have beaten Nadal today, probably even in straight sets. Now like everyone else I'm rooting for the king of clay to add yet another Roland Garros trophy to his excellent CV.

Reason to doubt Rafa this time. On his surface, he says No. Will be rooting for him to win it.

Nadal should have been such an underdog to begin with though. But yeah, definitely two great matches. Let's go Rafa, it would be a pity if you didn't win RG now with Nole out of the picture.

The price was correct. U questioned it last year also when rafa was a big dog. He lost

You may be right. Oddsmaking is always interesting to me. Of course, it's an Opener which is adjusted according to betting action.

Handicapping is a prospective venture. We read YESTERDAY'S scores in the morning paper.

Hard to envision another +180 dog with that track record on this surface at this tournament. 5-sets are SUPPOSED to favor the better player, b/c it gets played out longer.

I KNOW that Rafa was +125 vs Federer at Roland Garros when Rafa was going for his 1st French title. Still surprises me when Rafa is a dog at this event. How much has he lost in his legs?

How much line respect did the past Clay specialists get when they were ripping clay wins? Guys like Kuerten/Muster/Ferraro. Of course, they couldn't hold Rafa's jock.

No Chucker in 2005 at the french semis, Rafa was actually favored over Fed. Trust me. I bet Fed as at + and lost !!! I remember it well. Fed was +125 or +135.

I KNOW that Rafa was +125 vs Federer at Roland Garros when Rafa was going for his 1st French title. Still surprises me when Rafa is a dog at this event. How much has he lost in his legs?
you are correct, Chucker. i stand corrected !!

i had Fed at minus odds on that June 2005 day, in the rain at RG, then it waned, and RAFA beat FED

Rafael Nadal is listed as a -750 favorite in the semifinals of the 2019 French Open vs. Roger Federer, the largest line head-to-head in a Grand Slam.

Salud, homie, that mirrors my recollections. I thought Fed was a small Fav...and Rafa was a dog in that range.

My memory is selective, like most people. On sports which I put stock in...my memory is sometimes razor-sharp.

For that match...I remember Nadal ripping thru the Clay court season matches. I knew he was accumulating one hell of a Clay court track record. Brad Gilbert picked Federer in that match, Rog-er was just that strong.

Chucker you'll recall that in the 2005 French final, rafa faced Mariana puerta, the crafty lefty from Argentina, and rafa lost the first set then won 3 straight sets to capture his first slam title.

Shortly after that final, puerta tested positive for a banned substance and received an 8 year ban, ending his career.
