That said, I can't imagine there are too many Game 7 Home Dogs in NBA Conf Finals. I can't think of any.

Even SAC was a small Home Fav in game vs Lakers.

I can think of a few in NHL, where the Game 7 home team was small Home Dog.

I would normally agree if this was a regular season game, or perhaps game 1 to open a series, but at this juncture both teams' motivational meters are pegged. You've warred with the opposition for six games now, and a berth into the Super Bowl of basketball comes down to one solitary game. The idea that additional incentive could be sparked by a comment seems more like fodder for talking heads than it is for the combatants who will leave it all on the floor for the final 48 minutes. If anything, the C's could take the underdog approach, being the lower seed and knowing the history of road teams in game 7's.
