These guys are always stuck inside the box. Your power play is terrible, going up against shesterkin, why not go 6 v 4? You probably ain’t going to score and just waste 2 minutes anyways. I would have kept the extra guy on if I didn’t score on the power play either with only 4 left. They pull him with 229 and that’s like miracle stuff at that point. If you got a shaky goalie and a high powered offense, this is a different story.

I'm not a fan of the pulling the goalie early thing. It's stupid. It rarely works. Look at Florida. Then they left him on the bench to make sure it was out of research reach.

St Louis screwed up yesterday. They pulled the goalie but they lost the puck so as he was going out they scored on him.

It depends on the situation. With how they were like 9 outta 91 on the power play and not really a great offense, you might as well go for it. If that’s Edmonton down 1 6 minutes left on a power play, I’m not pulling the goalie.

Yeah I saw that. I mean it’s a desperation move anyways, but I think when desperation actually kicks in is different for every team and situation.

Some coaches like to do it earlier than others, but I don’t think there’s any thought to game flow. It’s basically at x time if we are losing by 1 or 2, it’s happening.
