I am the furthest thing from the beard of knowledge when it comes to EPL, like I said I do pay attention the bigger matches and I do have a decent working knowledge of the game to know that AVL was playing way to relaxed in that 2H, and when Man City made it 1-2 AVL pretty much said "fuk this, we give up, here, take the league title"

Man City were 2-0 down at half-time to West Ham on Tuesday. Man City could, and should, have scored at least 4 goals in the 2nd half of that game. West Ham had something to play for and Aston Villa didn't. Liverpool and Man City have large squads of quality players. Their possession-at-pace footballing styles have an attritional effect on opponents late in games, especially so late in the season.
