#4Depends on whether the mental bets win or lose.Originally posted by jjgoldA trick question??
They’re cheaper in a loss than a win, obviously.
But sometimes the info gained by making a mental bet is worth quite a bit, maybe even more than one real bet.Comment -

#6“Mental bets” of my favorite jj gold-isms. It connotes a certain sort of zen quality otherwise absent from being completely brokeComment -

#9Just remember, you can’t develop winning bets without first developing mental bets.
Well, you can, but it can get expensive.Comment -

#17Yeah but not Think Tank worthy.Originally posted by jjgoldKVB always with a sharp answer
You got guys lke Johhny, Pavy and Chucky in here adding nothing, not recognizing the trial and error of sportbetting.
Don't put your jokes in the Think Tank, Gold. This thread should not be in the Think Tank if we aren't going to elaborate on the trial and errors that us modelers must go through.
There is value in paper and "mental betting" for those who want to improve their handicapping, but I don't see any of them in this thread.
Track your bets and why you made them.

#19Air Bet = a bet with no financial investment
Mental Bet = a bet so advantageous for the house you'd have to be mental to make itComment -
