Of course it is because of live betting if you are just talking any given game.

If you beat the no juice closing line, it usually is IMO. Because if you do this for eternity, you will be profitable.

A much better example is, let's say you are on the show Let's Make a Deal. Monty Hall tells you to pick a door. He then shows you a goat behind one of the doors. He then offers you the opportunity to change your mind and pick the other door. If you then change your mind and pick the other door, you still made the right choice by changing your mind even if you lose because the odds are in your favor. Again, the reason why it's a good bet is because if you do this for eternity... you will end up a winner.

The hardest part in sportsbetting is knowing when your losing bet was a good bet. But if you beat the NJCL... that's usually a pretty good indicator.

If you didn’t cash it was a bad bet plain and simple. Now as mentioned above there are certain methods that will lead you to win more often than you lose but for those particular situations it is still a bad bet when you lose. Only thing that should be considered a good bet is a win or a push.

Absoutely. Much like hitting on a 13 vs. a dealer 6 when the count is negative ten; you may bust but if so, it's a good bet with a bad result.

I often make a distinction between a games winner and the winning bet, sometimes they are the same, because many can’t tell the difference when there is one.

I’ve seen winning bets lose and losing bets win but the distinction only matters to those handicapping and tracking their bets.

Define... “losing bet” for the purpose of this thread.

If you hedge half way thru the losing bet for more money then that losing bet becomes a good bet! .

                        Absolutely.

If you hit 55% of your -110 bets, you didn't make 55% good bets and 45% bad ones. You might have made 100% good ones.

Say you're given +150 on a heads coin flip or -170 on tails... and you bet heads....but it comes up tails. Did you make a bad wager on heads +150 ? Should you have wagered -170 on tails?
