Now that Giannis is a C/PF, not PF/C Embid is at best the third best center in the NBA today.

OK Nash thx for your take but no way Rudy is in Joel's class. Joel can shoot and make free throws something Gobert can not do. Gobert is a rebounder/Defensive player who is vastly Overrated IMO. Embiid been playing in NBA for 6 years. true has not won a championship but look who is was playing with during the Process rebuild.

Like deGrom in MLB who's always on the shelf we're never going to find out just how good Embid can really be.
And that's going to be the legacy here, "oh sure he could have been an all time great, if it wasn't for this pull, or that sprain"

But as of now, Jokic and the Greek are the elite centers.

Danny Ainge made some good moves and some bad moves in his tenure in Boston, but that was the best one. Why anyone thought Fultz was worth a No. 1 pick was insane.

He also took heat for the Jalen Brown pick, which I also thought was bad. He was right on that one too.

Where Ainge constantly messed up was stockpiling all those late first round and second round picks, which amounted to nothing. I remember one year Boston had 3 picks in the Top 20, and they selected all foreign players who never saw any playing time.

Where Doc royally screwed up was the second finals with the Lakers, up 3-2 heading to LA, Boston pulls a complete no-show in Game 6, then blows a double digit lead in the second half with Kobe shooting like 6-for-30 for the game. Still can't believe they lost that series.

Seems like everybody is already penciling in the Raptors for the second round...so going w/the 76ers tonight (and not confident at all ).

Know Embiid will be motivated. Can the other guys step up enough to win? That "other guys" doesnt include Harden. Expect nothing more than what he's given them so far.

Embiid is not built for 7 game series. Eventually, he's going to wear down and fold like a cheap suit. He's in a dogfight with Toronto. He'll be in a gunfight with just a knife against the Heat. Then he'll be walking across a land mine vs Boston or Milwaukee.

Embiid needs to lose about 30 pounds. He's too heavy and that takes a toll on a big frame like his. Slim down and muscle tone up in order to take the grind of 4 game 7 series. Every game, you see him hunched over, totally exhausted. He needs a nutritionist and a cardio trainer. I'm not sure he's that committed however. James Harden certainly is not.
