    Warriors/Nuggets -- Game vs. 1H
    Game spread: GS -2/2.5
    1st Hf spread: Den-1/1.5 (also 1Q)

Hawks/Heat also seems to be similar, but at the same game spread the Grizz/Wolves games does not.

I know they don't always quite match up exactly, but I'm not sure I've quite seen this sort of discrepancy in the NBA playoffs. Anyone care to weight in? What is the dynamic at play here?

This was nearly the same exact scenario in the Philly Toronto game last night.

    Toronto -1.5 first half

    Philly -1.5 full time

    Toronto -1 first quarter

It's just the natural flow of today's NBA, the weaker team that needs to win or is expected to win at home after failing to steal an away game usually comes out fast and strong.

The better team will usually have a chance to come back and get a close win if they stay disciplined and focused. Minnesota stole a game in Memphis whereas both Atlanta and Denver did not to use your examples listed above

Lines have adjusted over the years, using the gsw line as an example. If it's at -2.5 the first half line used to be gsw -1 or -0.5 or even pk in yrs past giving Denver first half bettors a chance at plus odds for a high probability outcome

They do this in the third game for the last several years if the team coming home is down 2-0. Raucous crowd, desperate etc.
