Well you laid out some sketchy logic so I just asked a question. If you're simply being contrarian just say so, no need to shoehorn a narrative onto your pick. Do we even know that that UNC is the "trendy" pick though? It's a little early, I think action will be fairly even, much the same way UNC/Duke was. Don’t like the spot for North Carolina at all. Said that before both games. That was probably the biggest ncaa game in recent memory and it was a 40 minute war. They already massively overachieved. Gonzaga got drained against ucla last year and had nothing left going for an undefeated season while Baylor had an easy game. This is like that times 10.Comment -

It's not contradictory... If I believe the line is a tad high, then I obviously don't find value in laying the inflated price. Hence, I do find some value in taking the dog.
You're going a different route I presume and thinking "well it's inflated for a reason, the books know something" but at this point in the year there's no need to galaxy brain anything, we have enough evidence to draw out conclusions without having to lean on superstitions.
When the stakes are high I want Caleb Love over Remy Martin any day of the week. Agbaji can obviously get hot too but he also disappears for stretches. I think UNC will have a plan for him. I'll take the Heels and let the chips fall wherever.Comment -

Statistically... North Carolina has one of the worst defenses that I've ever seen who's made it to the Championship Game. Like literally their defense is very questionable. They beat you by out scoring you. And if they happened to beat you with a low scoring game... well that other team just shot like sh##.... it really wasn't N.C.'s defense.
If Kansas just plays halfway decent defense... N.C. really doesn't have a prayer. North Carolina must outshoot you to win.Comment -
