Glad I got on board. Usually avoid the ones that look too easy, but you just knew both teams wouldn't get 60 in this one. They may not even get one to 60 unless they go OT

Honestly lots of those 3’s were wide open looks or good shots I wouldn’t tout nova to much they make a few of those we got a game

So many shots weren't contested.

They had many chances down the stretch.

game was pretty much what was expected. 2 strong defensive squads who lack offensive firepower at times. the obvious difference is nova's absurd FT shooting.

as for houston just making a few more shots.. they actually shot better overall. it's easier to say if nova literally just made a couple more shots, houston probably never would have been closer than 6-7 points the whole game.

they missed 4 of those in the last 23 seconds, when nova was up by 6 points. i think they missed 6 three pointers total in the last 3 minutes, when nova was leading by 6. nova's 5-21 with triples wasn't exactly crushing houston's 1-16 (before the 4 misses towards the end when they had no chance.)

so if people want to magically add shots to houston's total.. why not the same for nova? they shoot much better than the 23.8% they finished with on 3's. gillespie was held to 1 FG. it happens.

nova won because they hit a couple more triples and excelled at the line. nothing is shocking here. it was an ugly defensive battle.
