If the Iowa Hawks had hit that last 3-shot with 4 seconds left..
It would have been a turn-around of a bunch of bucks, like $750-plus.
And as I've said before, my nerves cannot handle live, or especially close games going down to the wire.
I knew somehting was going on when it takes 20 minutes to play the last 2 minutes. And I even thought Iowa was leading late in the game.

Just how close what that 3-attempt? Anyone?

It wasnt the three pointer , it was terrrrrible fthrow shooting. I hope this doenst come back to bite them in the tourney
This one was simple — the Hawkeyes couldn’t make free throws.
Iowa was just 10-of-22 from the line, an uncharacteristic effort for a team that shoots 74.6 percent for the season.
What made those misses especially costly were when they came.
Ten of them came in the second half, including crucial ones from Kris and Keegan Murray in the closing minutes

That was an ugly ending, both teams were doing some horrific things…If Illinois actually took advantage of some easy looks instead of burning clock, and didn’t foul the three point shooters, it could have been a ten point win, too. Yes, I know Iowa missed most of those three throws ..

This is correct. Good free throw shooters melted under pressure in this game. It was choke city down the stretch for the Hawks.

I did, too, Brock, what I wanted the whole hog.

This Iowa team was worn out the 2nd half and just what I thought might happen.
They played 2 tough games prior to this one.
Look for this to happen often for the next 2 to 4 weeks.
