About ten years ago I saw Jaworski at the Borgata in AC playing blackjack.
His ranges were two to ten purple chips a hand.

I was standing right behind him in watching in awe.
He's a degen, but he was playing well, he knew what he was doing.
If I had to guess, he at least broke even.
I was watching maybe 15 minutes than I got a subtle tap on the shoulder with a "move along"

I have a story thats almost the opposite.

Two assistant coaches (major program) were playing blackjack at my table and asked me what to do like every freakin hand. God it was annoying. That was at Greektown in Detroit.

Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer and Al Horford - Florida 2006 AND 2007. 3 players all taken in the top 13 of the NBA draft. Ironically the last team to win back to back. If you can recruit 2 or 3 future NBA players, you can win a title.

I'm glad you brought him up. He used to recruit all white guys or Grant Hill types that stayed 4 years and got better. He realized you can't win like that now. Boeheim's team has went downhill since they went to the ACC. They had a couple cinderella tournament runs but they have pretty much been a bubble team at best since they went to the ACC. They have to deal with talented young players who are going to use them for a year and say bye. It's as much salesmenship as anything. As for John Scheyer, tons of assistants were passed over and he's the one that got the job, so I wouldn't write him off just yet. I wouldn't want to follow something you could never match though.

Scheyer just has a face that you want to punch. I just don't see him as a compelling recruiter. Maybe I'm wrong but I think Duke takes a big step back without Coach K.

Just what I suspected. And they--members who followed the Jewish faith--dominated Hollywood for decades.
And surprise, surprise, they had some of the most attractive stars ever to hit the screen. Boeheim didn't make that cut. But the man looks smart.

*Best I can tell, was a good teacher and a good coach.
