Sometimes I get bored and wanna play while I’m drinking but don’t know where to play. I’m in Virginia by the way so we don’t have the legal poker sites yet.

Yea I figured. I only like to play when I’m drinking. I hate playing in person so online was always easier. I know bovada and BOL have decent traffic. But that’s about it.

BOL pretty good. I like to play those boost tables sometimes. Fast fold ring games with a bad beat jackpot.

Nice. I don’t think I really have a preference, I just get bored and wanna play every once in a while.

Feel you. Definitely not trying to get rich. Just something to do sometimes.

I play Omaha tourneys at ACR a couple times a week.
I like it, it's good for the brain, Omaha is like a puzzle.
                Tons of draw possibilities.
Like I said, it's a good mental challenge.

I play stud8 on the ACR/Black Chip/True Poker network. Just small stakes to learn the game. There's good action there.

Poker Stars came back to Michigan I think. I'd def be excited if they become legal in Indiana although I never did damage there. Players were far better then at Bovada (Bodog back then) or Pacific Poker, etc

They just reopened our poker room at the local casino in Indy (Shelbyville) but I haven't played there yet

Stud8? Are you talking about 7 card hi/lo? Thats a fun game! I miss all non-NLH/PLO games

Hate PLO. Its fun and it makes it hard to go back to NLH, but its also like bingo at times. Countless bad beats on Bovada with PLO

I quit playing PLO on there a year ago. USed to play SNGs all the time. Had about $300 in there about 3-4 months ago and decided to sit

down late with $50 at $.50/$1 PLO. I have rags in the bb that I wouldn't play, but nobody raised. The flop was something like 99J and I

had Rag/Rag/9/J for a full house. Long story short I get it all-in on the turn with somebody with a 9 and the only out for him was a K and

of course river K. First hand so atleast time wasted was very limited

Yeah, same thing. It's a fun game... imo you can play looser than in hold 'em and the action is very good on that network.

Like Ian, I like the Stud Hi-Lo at ACR too.

They spread five daily stud games (3 Hi-Lo and 2 straight stud)
Plus they have weekly higher stakes.

The best Stud game is today, Sunday's 4pm.
15.00 +1.50 buy in, prize pool $1500 GTD.
                              3 HR LR

Top spot is usually around 25% of the prize pool.

Only thing I don't like about Hi-Lo Stud is it's such a mother of a grind.
Figure on four hours to get to the final table, six hours to the finish, more like seven.

They spread two daily Hi-Lo one dollar tourneys, I like the game, but I don't like it enough to grind seven hours for 36 dollars top spot.
So I avoid the micro stakes.

Omaha HiLo Pot Limit is one of my favorite games to play. That being said I'm not great at it, but I've played a ton of that over the years. IMHO it's far superior to holdem.

If the low stakes stud8 players are colluding they really suck at it because the games are very soft.

Got 2 final tables yesterday here. Don’t get to play much in the way of tournaments now. 7th and 8th though so wasn’t that great of pay. I prefer 6 handed tournaments personally

If you're in Virginia, I suggest going over to MGM or Maryland Live for poker. Online options are limited for you with terrible ACR and Ignition softwares to deal with

I finally made it over the new WSOP room in Shelbyville (outside Indy). Won $380 last night and $180 last weekend. I was disappointed that they are so f greedy with their daily tournaments though. I played $2500 Guaranteed on Monday for $110 and unless their board was wrong they only paid out like $3450 of more then $5k paid in with 43 players and some rebuys. Thats like 35% rake? Thats insane unless their board was wrong

Overall though its a nice room and shit players. I'm a regular
