not sure what to make of this hire. on one hand, it was smart of Davis not to give Harbaugh a $100M/10yr deal, but there's also something very unlikable about McDaniels too

i'm not even sure how great of an 'offensive mind' he really is either. however, i do know the Broncos offensive personnel was terrible when he was there and it's not like the Pats invested much into their skilled positions either, so maybe he'll surprise some people?

Another dumb hire, IMO. Detroit did the same thing, hired a Belichick assistant with a Patriots front office guy. The damage they did in Detroit will last at least another 3 years.

More talent to start in Las Vegas, but tough division.

People forget McDaniels was OC in St. Louis with Sam Bradford after getting fired in Denver. End result? Offense was dead last or right near the bottom and he and the staff were fired.
