Late message here but I was watching the raiders chargers game and Collinsworth and company were in disbelief that the raiders didn't go for a tie and just kneel.
Um...hello???? You are the raiders would you rather go to Kansas City being blown out by 30-40 points twice during the regular season if you tie... Or face a Cincinnati Bengals team that also has not much playoff experience and a so-so coach? Not one person calling the game or or a dumb schmuck on ESPN mentioned this. OF COURSE you go for win and get matched up with cincy.
They will probably get shredded regardless because it is the raiders but a punchers chance versus 0 chance taking on cincy not kc.

Yeah, as long as there was little or no risk to going for the win. They were sort of straddling the line there. They were being a bit conservative and were sort of willing to tie, but when they saw they had a really good chance to win, they took it, and for good reason as you said. Can't really fault how the Raiders handled it. The Chargers on the other hand....dumbasses.
