I've seen this before with Gonzaga. Really ugly wins. * and to add more ulcers--well small ones, I bet small and took the 19-1/2 points in the first half, well, within 25 minutes I was, again, cussing like a sailor. Am I am in training right now to slow that way down. Sure, they only win the 2nd half by 8 pnts.
Just another freaky stat to jiggle that ulcer again.
Okay, who wants to be like 95% of the Worlds male population? Off topic, but this *uck this *uck that-word, seems to be used in every other sentence, and does wear thin after awhile.
And I thought of this joke while I thinking of today's crazy addition to firing off that F-word.
So, I had this joke I posted somewhere about 8 months ago: Your 8 year old is at the breakfast table and on his way to school, soon.
But with Mom, being a bit slow and this kid being extra hungry that morning, he loses it and shouts out to Mom, "where the *uck are my Kellog Cornflakes?"
Gonzaga stats:
FGS were great, 49.3
The threes kinda stink, 30.4
The freebies stink, 58.1
Timme & Holgren grabbed 14, total. Not too great against a dog.
17 assists are very good
7 steals are real good
5 blocks are above avergae for sure
9 turnovers are sure a lot better for the Zags
9 fouls is certainly outstanding
Get this, only 5 for the starters.
So it looks like am wrong this time, but do not forget who they played?
I am stiill not a true-believer in this team as yet.
Timme, the postseason favorite, still looks slow to me and showing few moves under the basket.
The Big Kid? He seems to be holding back his overall game skills, so many times? Is he waiting for Duke again?
With the two bigs playing more defense than offense, will that work against the top tens?
They are only averaging a combined, 30 points. I thought Timme would be averaging mid-20's by this time?
And Timme, hmm, is shooting 3's at a measly 20%.
So, my opinion, today, what's that worth?
Those two bigs better start improving their team-play, with each other, under the basket.
And heck, the rest of the players, the non-stars, supposedly, are playing very solid as unit. That's a blessing and a surprise, too.
