#39The nflpa was lied to. Everyone was operating under the league memo that if this exact situation happened?
The team would forfeit the game
now goodell backtracked, and has pissed off the teams. Using the South African mutation as the reason for the “no forfeit” changeComment

#42It could make a difference for several players. It all depends when they got Covid. Most people shed the virus for 5 to 10 days, so let's say a lot of these players got covid in practice on Monday - Wednesday. They could start testing positive today, tomorrow or Sunday. If they got it from the Ravens on Sunday it may be longer.Originally posted by KermitSo the Browns game moves 48 hours to early Monday evening. What difference is this going to make? Is everyone who is positive magically going to test negative now? In just 48 hours?Comment

#44That's nothing but a scare tactic, the NFL isn't going to let a game be forfeited.Originally posted by capitalist pigAre these players actually sick or just testing positive? I could swear earlier this year the league’s said if you couldn’t field a team it was going to be a forfeit lossComment

Washington activates four d-linemen from COVID list originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia
Key defensive linemen Jonathan Allen and Montez Sweat were among four players the Washington Football Team reinstated Saturday morning from the COVID-19 Reserve list.
Allen had been on the COVID list since Monday and Sweat since a week ago Wednesday.
Allen and Sweat are Washington’s two leading sack producers, Allen with 7 1/2 and Sweat with 4.0.
Also activated back onto the 53-man roster were defensive ends James Smith-Williams and Casey Toohill. Smith-Williams, who has two sacks, was placed on the COVID list last Saturday and Toohill, the Eagles’ 7th-round draft pick last year, last Sunday.Comment
